The Cyprus Police Academy is a Public Educational Institution of Higher and Tertiary Education (Law 68(I) 96). It is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education and is the exclusive body which provides education and further training to the members of Cyprus Police.

The educational programmes organised by the C.P.A. address the training needs of the various ranks of the Police offering the possibility of education and further training for the acquisition of advanced knowledge, skills and practices, and for dealing with the everyday challenges of contemporary law enforcement.

In a rapidly changing world, the Cyprus Police Academy has a significant role in educating and training police members. This role is not only limited to the geographical confines of the island of Cyprus, but also extends to Europe and internationally.

The Cyprus Police Academy cooperates with other Educational Institutions in Cyprus and abroad with the aim of exchanging ideas and experiences both on a theoretical as well as a practical level.
